Disorienting music? I coined this term to describe my chaotic ideas with a single phrase. But it's not just a simple label. Disorienting music is my response to times of disorientation and chaos. It's an attempt to sound out how we perceive reality today. Maybe even a contestation? It seems to me that these sound sketches are not multi-genre, nor even anti-genre. They are simply non-genre. Disorienting. This EP is a collection of ideas and loose thoughts. My mess in a drawer. As always, the process is more interesting to me than the finished work.

'The Neon Fruit Supermarket' is inspired by Allen Ginsberg's poem 'A supermarket in California'. It was released in January 2024 as an NFT. More about this composition and its accompanying visual work can be read here: www.sound.xyz/cutupbanana/the-neon-fruit-supermarket

'Chasing Shadows' is an extended version of a track originally composed as a soundtrack for an audiovisual work—a collaboration between Von Doyle and me.
